Building the future of clinic operations with AI.
Ayvah is an AI-powered front desk designed to help clinics manage customer interactions, book appointments, and reduce administrative overhead. Available 24/7, it handles conversations, coordinates schedules, and connects with existing calendars and clinic platforms — helping businesses save time, reduce costs, and focus on patient care.
I started this project to explore what it takes to build an AI product from the ground up, while helping a close friend overcome the operational challenges of scaling their clinic.
Building with AI
AI is not just part of the product; it's also central to how I built it. I used Claude throughout the design process to develop the product flows and create the entire design system. Built with shadcn/ui, the component library is documented in Storybook, creating a consistent foundation for the product and accelerating the journey from concept to implementation.
I'm also collaborating with a developer friend who reviews my pull requests, helping me validate code changes and ship improvements directly to the codebase.
Building, testing & learning
One of the most interesting parts of this project has been working with AI agents as collaborators. I've experimented with delegating tasks, orchestrating workflows, and letting agents execute work autonomously while I'm away — changing how I approach product development.
I've also been testing Ayvah's conversational flows with real people, gathering feedback and refining how the AI handles phone conversations, understands requests, responds naturally, and executes tasks such as appointment bookings. This iterative process has been essential to making the experience feel reliable, useful, and human.
